Remember to head out to the Custer Farmers’ Market Grand Opening on Saturday, June 5 at the corner of Crook and Seventh Streets in Custer. This is kitty-corner, northwest of the Custer YMCA. The market will benefit the Custer Volunteer Fire Department, so not only will your purchases of local foods and crafts benefit local producers, but also the local fire department.
The fun gets started at 8:00 a.m., and it looks like a good selection of products will be available. Should be a fun time, hope to see you all there.
In case you’re further north, the Black Hills Farmers’ Market in Rapid City opens Saturday at 9:00 a.m. The market is located at Founders Park on West Omaha Street. The long wait is over, it’s time to hit the park and get personal with the folks that grow your food.
My apologies for the hiatus between posts; between the new puppy and impacted wisdom teeth, the last few weeks have been a blur. However, the puppy is now house-trained and crate-trained, and the wisdom teeth extracted, so I intend to regularly post again. Happy planting!
