Calling all locavores! My purpose in creating this blog is so that those of us who are interested in local food systems can find each other! Though I’ve named it “Black Hills” Local Foods, it’s really for anyone in this region, so if you’re from Kadoka, Bison, Winner, or anywhere in between, we want to hear from you too!
Eastern South Dakota seems to have a more visible local-foods presence, but I know we have locavores out west as well. Are you a producer who sells direct to the consumer … a consumer who wants to buy more local foods … interested in growing more of your own food … aiming for a more self-sufficient lifestyle?
